Mayday (or Wappu in Finnish) is a big academic and working-class celebration in Finland. While the nation is getting ready to party, the startup events are sadly winding down for next week. On the upside, you can see the largest number of self-employed students ever. Just by walking through the streets of Helsinki, you will run into all the students pitching why you should buy the Wappu magazine. While many of them would benefit from some pitching training, it's one of the few times students need to learn sales, and I’m 100% up for it.

While Finland is fixed on Wappu, there are practically no startup events. Yet, if you crave startup content, you have come to the right place. Besides your weekly fix of Founders Fuels, you can find the startup sauna entities at Kaivopuisto in Helsinki during the Mayday celebrations. Just follow the sound of the DJ on top of a scissor lift and come hang out!
