Founders Fuel is back!

It's been a minute! In the past 4 weeks, I’ve been in the US trying to learn and get inspired. I’m eager to share some of the takeaways in future updates, but I’m just excited to get back into the groove with you all.

Some interesting developments have also happened in the startup ecosystem in Finland and at large. One of the bigger news stories was that Paul Graham (the official old wise guy of the startup world) published a new essay titled “Founder Mode” that went viral in the startup community. I’ve included Founder Mode as the weekly read you can find at the end of the newsletter!

Besides the global news, the Finnish ecosystem also has some super interesting news, so let’s jump straight into it!

Exciting news

Strive Startup Crawl is almost sold out!

I’ve written about Strive before as well, but it seems that the startup crawl will be quite epic this year. Last year they broke the record of the biggest excursion event in Finland and they are doing everything 5x this year. If you haven’t yet, sign up! It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know over 90 Finnish startups that are actively recruiting!

Celebrating failure

While seeing a Finnish startup now work out is always sad on one level, I’m also a huge proponent of celebrating those failures as the Finnish startup ecosystem collectively gets more knowledgeable and for first-time founders to turn into second-time founders.

So a huge shoutout to the team of Briif for taking the brave step of hopping to other adventures!

Your weekly read

As promised, here is the essay “Founder Mode” by Paul Graham. While the text is more for projects going from the very first teams to scaling mode, it’s a good read for anyone!

Last words if need be & something else?

I’ll be back again next week!
