As people head to their summer holidays, the startup news is also winding down a bit, but not Founders Fuel!

Claude 3.5 is pretty amazing

Claude 3.5 Sonnet is a new LLM from Anthropic.

The new model dropped last Monday. Since then there has been a ton of discussion about if you should stop your ChatGPT subscription.

The demos over on X are pretty amazing, but I’ll wait until the full native multimodality function of ChatGPT comes out before abandoning OpenAI.

I was listening to how to start a startup again. The second episode about building teams, recorded from a lecture for Stanford students (surprise surprise) is super valuable for any young hungry future founder.

It's fun to listen to these again with more startup knowledge!

Small shoutout to side projects

As the job markets are quite hard for young people rn, a lot of my student friends are without a summer job this year. If this applies to you as well, I have a proposition for you.

Start a side project!

This could be a technical project, a side hustle to make money, or volunteering for a cause you are super passionate about.

In any case here are some ideas you could be building right now at the startup sauna (the coworking spaces are open and full of people building projects!)

The Adeus AI buddy!

This is a fun project for both new and seasoned developers with both hardware and software components you could work on. The project is done open source and you can find a community ready to help!

I have one set someone can start playing with, so the starting costs would be 0.

Build a side hustle company!

If you are strapped for money, start doing a side hustle for money!

I won’t list the options here since there are almost infinite options. Start by washing windows in your neighborhood, and do social media campaigns for small businesses, almost anything you are interested in can be turned into a business.

this one is close to my heart. It’s how I first jumped more into aaltoes as part of Dash.
